Pioneer Indian graphic artist Mukul Dey has left behind a huge body of work, which throws light on the early 20th century Indian art scenario — including important papers, unpublished old and rare photographs, original paintings and graphic prints of Mukul Dey and his contemporaries.

All that he left behind do not tell his story alone. Instead, these fragile papers are capable of taking a researcher on a rare trip to a fascinating period of our cultural history which is yet to be fully explored and interpreted.

Located in a 75 years old garden where Dey lived and worked, Mukul Dey Archives is a private archive, located at Rabindranath Tagore's Santiniketan, in West Bengal, India. It is very conveniently connected to Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), by rail and road. The archives complex consists of a spacious research room, picture gallery along with an adjoining guestroom — occupying a total area of approximately 850 sq. feet.
